San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance
I worked with the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance on various projects for internal use as well as outreach to park guests and businesses. Here are some of my favorite pieces that showcase a range of styles, from “mild to wild.”
The Team Member Handbook was brought up to the current brand standards. I also found opportunities to push and evolve the look and feel of the piece by designing contemporary graphics so the document was more visually interesting. Where possible, animals broke out of traditional crops to soften the layout and add a surprising element.
The Employee Vision Posters serve an internal purpose by conveying the Alliance’s mission. They feature visuals of team members working alongside wildlife, reinforcing the organization’s vision and values.
Elephant Valley will be the newest environment at San Diego Zoo Safari Park. I developed and designed the color palette, patterns, font system, and explored signage concepts for the guest experience. These pages are from the presentation deck to stakeholders to walk them through the research, concepts, and designs.
Posters to promote SDZWA’s Amazing Wildlife Podcast. The posters designs target children ages 7-18 and grade school teachers. Concepts focus on youth culture by riffing on memes, block shadow headlines with bold graphics, and video game inspired illustrations and typography.
Poaching orchids in Vietnam is a huge issue, and we’re working to communicate how vital it is to stop the theft of these beautiful plants. The social media graphics and flyers I made aim to inform Vietnamese citizens that taking orchids from the forests is illegal. The symmetrical layout is visually appealing and showcases orchids from the Zoo’s collection.
SDZWA has some amazing team members, and I created two ads for a feature called Celebrating Women in San Diego Magazine to give them the recognition they deserve.
The Partnership presentation deck is a versatile template designed in Keynote and PowerPoint, making it easy for the Business Development team to update as needed. It includes a variety of page layouts to suit different scenarios.
I brought the Kenya Programs 2023 Impact Report up to current brand standards with engaging layouts, graphics, and typography.
